Ultra-high voltage XKPE cable accessories are classified into terminal box and middle box types, based on the purposes. Terminal box types include Outdoor Sealing End (EB-A: indoor type ozone-resistant type), Gas Immersed Sealing End (EB-G) and Oil Immersed Sealing End (EB-O). Middle box types include Tape Joint type (TJ), Prefabricated Joint type (PJ), Pre-molded Joint type (PMJ) and Class 2 type.

The outdoor type is used to connect overhead lines and underground lines for outdoor substations using a ceramic or polymer insulating tube for external insulation. The ozone-resistant type uses a ceramic insulating tube with a long surface leakage distance to prevent flash over by contamination of salt or dust at seashores or in factory areas. The components include Bushing, Epoxy bushing, a rubber stress cone, conductor rod, spring compressor and protective tube.
