Ultra-high voltage XKPE cable accessories are classified into terminal box and middle box types, based on the purposes. Terminal box types include Outdoor Sealing End (EB-A: indoor type ozone-resistant type), Gas Immersed Sealing End (EB-G) and Oil Immersed Sealing End (EB-O). Middle box types include Tape Joint type (TJ), Prefabricated Joint type (PJ), Pre-molded Joint type (PMJ) and Class 2 type.

This device is similar to the gas immersed type and is connected to an oil immersed case containing the cable and transformer. The components include epoxy bushing, shield ring, a ceramic insulator, rubber stress cone, insulating tube, spring compressor, conductor rod and protective tube.
